This guided Bike route follows the Canal du Midi. The 240 km (150 mi) long canal located in Southern France and connects the Garonne River to the Étang de Thau on the Mediterranean.
The canal runs from the city of Toulouse down to the Mediterranean port of Sète—which was founded to serve as the eastern terminus of the canal.
This gigantic project from the end of XVII provides us today a fabulous
and unique bike route. Riding by the flat canal banks we are constant followed
by views of the surrounding countryside, forest, Vineyards and other agriculture
fields, with the historic sites as a background.

April 2nd: Transfer from Barcelona City center to Saint Martin Lalande.
Bike route: 32km ( Miles)
From: Saint Martin Lalande to Carcassonne.
Accommodation: Carcassone Hotel by the Canal.

April 3rd:Leaving Carcassonne by bike, passing trough Trèbes arriving to Homs.
Bike route: 40 km.
Accommodation: Homps.

April 4th: From the hotel in Homps to Capestang. Transfer from Capestang to Nissan lez Enserune.
Bike route: 38 km.
Accommodation: Nissan lez Enserune.

April 5th : Transfer from Nissan lez Enserune to Colombiers.
From Colombiers to Béziers to “Portiragne plage” ( beach).
Bike ride: 25km.
After a picnic lunch we will depart back to Barcelona city centre.
